This site is about Tomte cars made
by the Tomte-Laerdal company from Stavanger, Norway starting
1963 up to 1978 in 1:43 scale. As all successful toys have
competition, so did Tomte. In Sweden, there was Galanite. In Finland one could find Plasto.
Germany gave us PN,
Stelco and Vinylline. Hong Kong
made Miniflex and Taiwan had a brand with
an unknown name. Apart from these models one could find a large
variety of cars from different continents (Crio, Irwin, Barr, Sun,
Auburn, LN etc. etc.) On this website I will try to tell as much as
I can about a few modelnames:

Because it is very difficult to find information about vinyl cars
(new input arrives weekly), every information visitors have is more
than welcome.
